Average December 28, 2008 The ball doesn't roll off course and the dogs don't really play it with it on their own - only if it's thrown. They lose interest quickly. Our dogs are two labs who love balls, so it's suprising that they don't engage as much. However, the ball is very sturdy and it can't be chewed through, so it's durable!
Great Toy October 15, 2008 This is my dog's favorite toy. She plays with it all the time. I think it really challenges a dog. They want the ball inside the ball. My dog carries this all over the yard. She throws the ball and then chases it all over the place. The are very durable and will last for a long time.
Jolly 10" Teaser Ball October 12, 2008 My 2 year old yellow lab absolutely loves this ball. A friend of mine has a 90 lb. black lab who has had this ball for a year or so and has not chewed it up so I figured my 67 lb. lab couldn't chew it up either. It has marks on it no doubt, but it is not in pieces. He loves his toy and looks forward to playing with it every day. I noticed that he was bored in his kennel during the day and was in search of a toy that I wouldn't worry about him chewing up and possibly causing internal damage or a blockage. I am very cautious of toys that he should not be left unattended with. I feel that he is safe with this toy. I hope your puppy will enjoy it also.
One of the best toys! October 5, 2008 My dogs are big chewers and I am always looking for toys that are not destroyed in a day and that are not so hard that they will break their teeth. There a only a few toys that fit this description and the Jolly Teaser ball is one of them. They last for months and provide a lot of good chewing. There are different sizes, the bigger ones last longer. For reference, the only other toys that I have found that do not get pulverized into bite size, obstruction size pieces immediately are the large and x-large black kongs and goughnuts. If you want to risk tooth fractures you can go with the Galileo bones as well.
Very durable toy! June 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of my siblings has two sweet dogs that happen to be very large, weighing as much as adult humans do. They love to play with toys, usually destroying them in the process.
The 10" Jolly Pet Teaser Ball stands up to them, and they love it so much that they each have one. The girl dog runs for her teaser ball, kicks it, and chases it as she kicks it around the yard. The boy dog loves to chase his and to sit with it and carry it around. He usually wants to bring it with him when he comes inside the house, but it's pretty slobbery at that point. There are tooth scratch marks on the balls, but otherwise, they've held up for a long time, more than other toys. Something about the design and size of these balls, the dogs are unable to do much damage to them. For these two dogs who love to chase ball toys, it's PERFECT.
On the other hand, I bought the 6" version for my 30 lb sheltie who is barely as tall as my knee, and she ignores the Teaser Ball. This is not the fault of the product, it's just that my dog goes crazy for stuffed toys, not balls, and I knew this but wanted to see if she'd like the Teaser Ball too. No such luck. I'll be donating mine to a local terrier rescue, I know a dog there will simply love it.
